December 5 snow update

The City has sent its overview of snow operations to us:

Weather Conditions

Snow started at approx 3 am overnight where forecasters had predicted we would be on the edge of this snow event with less accumulation but the snow storm shifted, the epicenter with the most accumulation is directly over the City of Ottawa. There are varying amounts of accumulation throughout the City with more snow down in the West and South areas (7cm+) then in the central core and along the Ottawa River (5cm). Temperatures are -3C with the wind out of the ENE at 20km/h with wind gust in the open areas. The bulk of the snow will be down by 10am with lingering flurries. Temperatures steady at -3C through the day. Some minor drizzle is forecasted for overnight. Flurries are predicted for Wednesday through Friday with minor accumulations. The morning commute is slow and roads are snow covered.
