Transitway Overpass rehabilitation work to begin in May

You are here

Work will begin next month the Transitway overpass on Churchill, just north of Scott Street.

Staff tell us the 19.7m long, 13m wide span needs to be rehabilitated before Stage 2 LRT construction begins in 2019. They say the work will include some partial depth concrete repairs to the southeast approach sidewalk and southern abutment wall, refacing of the northern abutment wall and epoxy injections of cracks in the soffit. Crews will also mill and repave the deck and approaches and replace the guiderail on the east side of the north approach.

The Athlone overpass will also be rehabilitated, but that span is located entirely within the Westboro Station on the Transitway.

Please contact our office if you have any questions.
