Run Ottawa has also provided the following information on exit strategies in our ward:

The marathon race route will be closing on Sunday morning (May 29th) 6am and 7am.

Residents wishing to cross the route on race morning should consider approaching one of the intersections manned by police. There may be some delays (once runners on course) - police will try to get cars across asap

With the heaviest runner traffic during the race, cars will notbe able to get across the route. Emergency vehicles will still have access as required and will be coordinated through the race command post.

If residents must drive during the heaviest runner traffic they might consider parking their car outside the route the night before and walking across the route in the morning.

The route will reopen after the last runners have cleared the section and water stations are cleaned up.
