Spencer Street update

After months of construction, the Spencer Street rebuild is coming to a close. Thanks to all area residents for their patience through the work period. We hope your inconveniences over the summer lead to a road that is safer for all users.

In our latest update from project manager Tara Blasioli, she says the completion date is set for today. While the road will be open and ready for use, the contractor will still be on site doing some minor work like placing top soil.

She also wants us to know the raised intersections won’t be fully raised until spring when crews will apply the final lift of asphalt. Also, permanent pavement markings will wait until then as will the painted bike lanes.  The contractor will be painting stop bars before the snow flies.
