Quarterly ward forum: April 12

The quarterly ward forum, a chance to hear updates from the community associations, BIAs and each others, and raise your suggestions, comments and concerns to do with Kitchissippi and Ottawa issues, is coming up on April 12. We're holding it at the Churchill Seniors Centre (345 Richmond Road) from 6-9 PM.

We've got a couple of interesting speakers on the agenda for this one. Safer Roads Ottawa's Rob Wilkinson will be attending to talk about the tools available to bolster street safety for pedestrians and cyclists. This is a good chance to talk about traffic calming, police enforcement, and more.

Team Kitchissippi has also lined up a fun mini-event with Kitchissippi resident Grant McSheffrey - a recent three-time Jeopardy! winner, and an important community contributor in our 'hood. He'll be on hand to talk about his experiences on the show, and my staff have pitted he, local historian Dave Allston and I against each other in a Kitchissippi trivia contest. It should be a hoot.
