The Tom Brown Arena, 141 Bayview Road, will host a public information session April 4 so we can learn more about the temporary Scott Street detours coming as part of construction of Phase 2 of the LRT.
At the session, which starts at 6pm, city staff will show the preliminary plans for Scott Street between Tunney's Pasture and Dominion Station including a temporary Scott Street extension to the Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway that will run between the Transitway and Workman Avenue. We'll also hear more about a temporary bridge over the Transitway near Roosevelt Avenue and intersection improvements at Scott Street and Lanark Avenue/Island Park Drive.
The meeting will outline, among other things, the rationale and implementation strategies for proposed traffic options and detours in this area, how the City will replace the Transitway while the LRT Dominion Station is under construction, the results of noise, vibration and air quality analysis, and possible mitigation strategies.
