Ottawa housing stats

Housing completions were strong in March 2024 compared to the same month in previous years, but cumulative completions continue to lag each of the four previous years. Starts were also slower than in the previous three years, falling to 490 compared to last year's strong 1,076. Most of the starts were apartments: there were 13,501 apartments under construction at the end of March compared to 1,651 rows and 1,086 singles.
