We are hosting a community Open House to discuss the Site Plan application for 175 Carruthers. Our office has begun to field concerns and Jeff shares many of the concerns he's heard from residents so far.
This development is the second phase of the 12 Stirling project. All of the documents are available on DevApps for review and comment to City staff and our office. The Site Plan is seeking approval to construct on block of 3.5-storey stacked townhouses with 12 dwelling units, and an 18-storey mixed-use apartment building with 187 residential units, and commercial space on the ground level. The development will have 132 parking spaces within three level of underground parking and 112 bike parking spaces. The parking garage entrance for this phase would be accessed from Carruthers Avenue. The heights being proposed are consistent with and conform to the Zoning By-Law Amendment that was considered by Planning Committee and approved by Council in June of 2014. The first phase of the project, 12 Stirling has been completed and is now occupied.
The application is being presented to the City’s Urban Design Review Panel on September 7th, 2017. For more information on the UDRP, see the link below.
