LRT Construction Update

You are here

With LRT construction ahead of schedule, OC Transpo has decided that as of August 14 at 9am, buses will no longer be using Tunney's Pasture Station. Instead buses will leave the Transitway, entering Scott Street between Smirle and Caroline. This will allow for the construction of the Tunney's Pasture LRT Station.

From OC Transpo:

"When construction of the new connection from Tunney’s Pasture Station to Scott at Smirle is complete, we will be changing most bus service at the station to use the new connection. This will allow the closure to bus traffic of the current bridge over the Transitway alignment, so that that bridge is used only for pedestrians entering or leaving the station and for construction access. This will also greatly reduce the number of buses using the north exit from the station onto Yarrow. The diagram below shows the new arrangements.

With this change, we expect improved reliability for bus operation and reduced interaction between buses and pedestrians inside the station. All routes will continue to serve the same bus stops within the station as they do now."
