Carling Avenue Traffic Disruptions Coming Next Week

Motorists who use Carling Avenue in the western part of our ward should start thinking of alternative routes for next week.

Starting Monday, June 18, the Highway 417 eastbound off ramp at Carling and Kirkwood will close for about four weeks as work on the 417 widening project continues. Motorists will have exit on Maitland in order to access Carling.

Then one week later, intermittent lane closures will come to Carling between Woodroffe and Churchill to facilitate road resurfacing and other related work. That work is scheduled to begin June 25 and run until August 10. 

We do apologize for the short notice on this, but we ourselves only received notice today. The resurfacing work was not on our ward-wide schedule, but it is desperately needed, so that is some good news.

Signed detours will be in place to direct motorists around the closures.
